OVERTONE FILMS is a production company based in Manhattan. Founded by Emmy-winning director and writer Hilan Warshaw, the company produces internationally broadcast films and documentaries, often on musical and/or historical topics. Drawing on his musical background as a violinist and orchestral conductor, Hilan has also directed hundreds of multi-camera performance captures, as well as media content for organizations including Carnegie Hall, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Warner Classics, New York City Opera, League of American Orchestras, Fund for the City of New York, and many others.

Hilan and Overtone’s documentaries include WAGNER’S JEWS (PBS-WNET, WDR/ARTE, and Israel’s Channel 8 among others); THROUGH THE DARKNESS (SVT, YLE, ORF, Medici TV); SECRET SONG (SVT, PBS-All Arts, EuroArts, Medici TV, Allegro HD); IN THE KEY OF BACH (PBS-Georgia Public Broadcasting); RACHMANINOFF REVISITED (WDR/ARTE; co-producer and editor); MY BOLERO (PBS-GPB, Medici TV); HONORABLE MR.
